Comprehensive, Holistic, Integrative Care for Women

My Approach:

As a former midwife and registered and licensed naturopathic doctor I am uniquely trained to address your women’s health needs.  From annual gynecological exams to supportive care in other areas such as pregnancy discomforts, PMS, menopause and other hormonal changes, I can support you in addressing your concerns.  Whether you are struggling with a new problem or something that you have been dealing with for years, I offer safe, natural treatments that maximize your body’s own ability to heal and address the root causes of your problem.

I thoroughly assess your health by performing a detailed intake and focused physical exam, as well as ordering laboratory testing of hormones and other body chemistry to create an individualized plan to get you on your path to wellness.

Prevention:

One of the most important steps you can take towards your health is preventing problems before they start.  In your first visit, we discuss the pillars that form the foundation of optimal health.  This allows us to discover ways in which we can optimize your health to prevent chronic disease before it starts.

Women’s Wellness Exams:

A key aspect of prevention is annual exams.  In these exams, we focus on addressing your current health concerns, catching problems early and giving you tools to prevent future problems.  While most conventional annual exams are short with the entire focus on collecting a PAP, I do things differently.  In our women’s wellness appointments I take time to listen to your concerns and address them, while also conducting a detailed health history and performing a gentle physical exam, sensitive to the patient’s specific needs.  If indicated we can order routine or extensive blood tests to further assess your health.

Specific Women’s Health Services:

  • Bio-identical hormone treatments

  • Detailed hormone analysis

  • Eschorotic treatments for cervical dysplasia

  • Fertility evaluation

  • Preconception care

  • Adjunctive pregnancy support

  • Natural healing for postpartum women

Hormone Testing:

Most conventionally trained doctors only have birth control as a tool to manipulate women’s hormonal balance. As a naturopathic doctor I use herbs and supplements to raise and lower estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone individually.  Therefore I address every hormone imbalance issue by starting with comprehensive testing, and then working with that women’s body and its specific needs to produce the appropriate hormone ratios.
